It’s Okay To Say No

Shayla Bobala

Saying no is important when respecting yourself and others. I used to say yes to everything which led to resentment and anger held to the other person because I blamed them for asking me to do things I don’t want to do and I felt obligated to go and do them. You only owe yourself anything. You don’t owe anyone for anything. You have to put yourself first and realize that sacrificing your health, money, mental health is not worth it. Just remember this when your feeling blue when you say no it’s better there angry for a night if it means peace within you. It’s one of the most valuable things my counselling taught me. Be Honest With Yourself

Shayla Bobala

Do you ever tell yourself lies to keep yourself feeling good about what your doing. Do you find yourself convincing yourself that where you are in life is fine. You need to be honest about what it is your really want in life and what’s going to fulfill your true purpose. If that means 10 years to become a doctor or if it means that you want to create a channel with meaning and purpose and sell things. Whatever it is. You can do it anytime. No one knows how much time they have left and yet we all keep going. It’s all about working towards what you want while appreciating what you have in the process. I honestly can say that I’m happy with my job. It brings me more satisfaction everyday. If someday it doesn’t then I would re-evaluate my purpose and do something different don’t be afraid to re-evaluate your life to make yourself happy. Xoxo ShaylaBobala

Social Media Tips

Shayla Bobala

I’m gonna focus mainly on Instagram here and YouTube which are my main ones I use daily. I also love Pinterest but I find the app easy you just follow and people follow you. Instagram requires you to upload to stories, post regularly as well as sharing on the regular. Same with YouTube I find a hack for youtube is sharing photos on the stories and making sure that you are sharing to all social media’s after you post. Also post in the community tab. Share information your videos so that if the don’t get notifications as often they will definitely get them on a different media. I know that daily uploads are very important when your first starting out. As you grow you can post 30 videos and take 10 days off a month by doing two a day some days and then one some days. I am really excited for this years growth. Instagram has grown from 1000 followers to 20.6K Followers in a year and YouTube went from 75K to 152K in a year. I also know that doing live-streaming is important to show that you genuinely want to get to know your audience and connect with them on the regular. High quality equipment is not as important as genuinely caring about your audience. You can do this only on a phone or iPad. So don’t feel discouraged. Another hack of mine is Social blade it helps you see future estimations of subscribers and views which can motivate you harder. Then more you grow the better the futures growth. If there was one piece of advice I’d give that really was a game changer it would be to make sure that your recent video is on the featured video on your channel right when it uploads. How Youtube Changed My Life

Shayla Bobala

I have been watching youtube since 2006 and I really started getting into content creation consistently in 2013 when I bought my first home. I had also a really nice investment that helped me get my computer. I was so happy to have a great spot to film. Youtube at first was not always a positive for me as I got bullied for trying at work and by certain people in my life. I did not care because I started seeing dramatic growth come 2016 when I finally picked up momentum. It was 2017 in March when I finally had 3500 Subscribers. I really found it rewarding to collaborate and I had found myself an opportunity with a film maker but shortly after I realized they just wanted a cut of my revenue. Youtube pays you 55% ad revenue and they take 45% revenue so giving up any more of my hard earned dollars was not worth it. When I first started cheques started to flow in from $100 to $350 a month. It wasn’t until I got 10 Thousand Subscribers when the free clothing sponsorships started flowing in. I have had lots of different companies from bath bombs, makeup, skincare, clothing, phone cases and haircare. I only pick products that work for me and I’m proud of. My most loyal sponsor is Rosegal and I have had 6 bikini and clothing hauls from them all for free. I was so excited the first time a company wanted to pay me for a sponsorship. Later in 2017 my growth really started to bloom with the year ending in 29,000 Subscribers. I moved to Edmonton, Alberta that year on October 15, 2019. It really helped me promote more in a larger city and I put up poster around town. I really enjoyed working from home and experiencing a new city. Youtube became a full-time job bringing in $1200 – $2500 at that time. My Income continued to grow as I did YouTube and grew a fan funding platform called Patreon as my second source of income. Most people donate once and then see everything and leave but I could make between $2000 – $5000 on Patreon alone plus my youtube revenue which made it easier to by makeup supplies. I also decided after a year of living in Edmonton that I would give up driving so I sold my vehicle and

New Journey To Freedom

Shayla Bobala

🔹 I am excited to build this website from the ground up. I started a website on Shopify last year and although it was fun I found it hard to start up without a lot of extra costs. All of the diffrent apps on shopify costs too much as well as the monthly fee is too much. 🔹I also would love to help others create and provide courses for social media through a membership basis. Everyday i am getting closer to my goals Make sure to check out my Patreon Shaylabobalaextras Thank you for following me on my journey Truly Shayla Bobala
